Residence Life Programs
The Office of Housing and Residence Life at 麻豆社 State University is committed to the success of students who live in the residential community; therefore we offer a variety of residential success initiatives for students to meet other residents, build relationships with faculty members, and most importantly learn where they live!
Out to Lunch Program
Take your professor to lunch! The Office of Housing and Residence Life, along with Campus Dining Services, offer residential students a unique opportunity to interact with faculty by providing meal vouchers to students who invite a professor to lunch. Students can pick up an Out to Lunch voucher for the professor at the Office of Housing and Residence Life. At lunch, the student will present the voucher and pay for his or her meal with his or her meal plan.
Why take your professor to lunch? Having a discussion with a professor over lunch is a great way to interact with faculty and learn outside the classroom. Lunch provides an opportunity for students to know faculty members better and stimulate conversation on topics ranging from classroom assignments to finding common interests (hobbies, etc.). Students who wish to find out more information should visit the Housing Office located in Hopper Hall.
Roommate Assistance Programs
The Office of Housing and Residence Life recognizes that adapting to having a roommate can be a challenge. To help students cope with this transition, Residence Life has partnered with the Moore Street Clinic to provide individual roommate mediation workshops to students experiencing difficulty. The program is currently offered to Patterson, Brown and Lowndes residents. To get more information or set up a mediation appointment, please contact your residence hall director, Complex Director, or the Housing Office
